TOWSON, Lorayne W. 24, 2008 at Ohio State University Medical Center. Lorayne W. Towson was born July 29, 1925 in Prestonsburg, KY to Jerry and Josephine Wallen. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lorayne is survived by her husband Donald R. Towson. Donald and Lorayne celebrated 63 years of marriage. She is survived by her three children, Denese Towson Krug, Sharma Towson Hipkiss, Daniel J. Towson and three grand children, Jami Brown Lung, Christian R. Hipkiss & Brenda Cheuvront, and three great grandchildren. Lorayne is also survived by her brother, Joe Wallen, sisters, Cora Haines & Katherine Fannin. Lorayne is also survived by many loving friends and life long associates. She was truly loved by all she met. Lorayne joined the ranks as a "Rosie Riveter" when she moved to Dayton from her Kentucky home working at NCR. She later was employed by Waynesville Board of Education and finally over 30 years of loyal employment in Regional Management for Frischs Restaurants, Inc. Lorayne loved her husband and family. The Towson family spent many years vacationing in Dale Hollow, TN boating and camping. Don and Lorayne retired their home of over 20 years in Apache Junction, AZ, enjoying lots of golf and outdoor ecreation and scores of friends. This woman of "Substance" was the epitome of grace and grit. She left all that knew her with a gift and a legacy of having been blessed by having her in their lives.
