ZECHAR, Kenneth age 86 of Miami Township, passed away 
Saturday, November 13, 2009 at the V.A. Medical Center. He 
was born October 1, 1923 in Germantown, the son of the late 
Wilbur & Susie (Hayslett) Zechar. Mr. Zechar was retired from 
Oakwood City Schools and honorably served his country in the 
U.S. Army during WWII. Preceded in death by a brother and 2 
sisters. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Marjorie J. 
(Alexander) Zechar, his daughter Beverly Whitefield of Miamisburg, 
2 sons Kenny Zechar of Vandalia, Ron Zechar and wife Sharon of 
FL, his sister Barbara Nestor of Miamisburg, 6 grandchildren 
Matthew, Jeremy, Ashleigh, Rachel, Logan, and Casandra, and a 
great grandson Jordan. A graveside service will be held on 
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at the Highland 
Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg. Rev. Emmett Lambert 
officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m.
 to 7:00 p.m. at the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton. If 
desired memorial contributions may be made to the V.A. Hospice 
in his memory.
