HALL, Norman V. age 87, a 57 yr. resident of the Dayton area, 
departed this life for his home in Heaven on Thursday, March 27, 
2008. He was born Sept. 15, 1920 at Mt. Ash, KY near 
Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, 
Norman J. Hall, parents Matt and Laura Hall, and brothers Ellis, 
Lawrence, Matt Jr. and Irvin Hall. Surviving is his wife Sara Mayfield 
Hall, daughter Linda (Wayne) Kaufman (IN), daughter-in-law Genola 
Hall (CA), sisters Marjorie Hurst (KY), Odda Hussein (FL), Christine 
(Harvey) Carpenter (MI), sisters-in-law Ethel Hall (MI), and Mary Hall 
(KY). Norman leaves 6 grandchildren: Greg (Marnie) Hall, Norman 
D. (Christle) Hall, Cynthia (Keith) Hughes, Dr. Brett (Dr. Jill) 
Kaufman, Nicholas (Kelly) Kaufman, and Deni Profitt. He also leaves 
8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Norman was a 
World War II Army Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of 
W. Carrollton, retired from General Motors after 31 years of service.
 He was a good-natured loving family man, who enjoyed hunting, 
fishing, gardening and "tinkering" with cars. The family wishes to 
thank Walnut Creek Nursing Center's administrator and staff for their 
exceptional and tender care of Norman during his extended stay
there, Pastor Mark Scroggins, and the members of First Baptist 
Church of W. Carrollton for their visits and prayers on Norman's 
behalf. Thanks also to Dr. John Hochwalt for his capable care and 
Hospice of Dayton for their compassion and support. A funeral 
service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the 
First Baptist Church of W. Carrollton, 705 S. Elm St. Rev. Mark 
Scroggins officiating. The family will receive friends at the church 
from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial and graveside service 
will be held at Highland Park Cemetery Davis addition in 
Williamsburg, KY on Sunday, March 30, 2008. In lieu of flowers, 
contributions to Hospice of Dayton may be made if so desired.
