SCOTHORN, Charles F. age 81 of Miami Twp., passed away Monday, 
November 13, 2006 at Paramount Senior Living. He was born March 4, 
1925 in Franklin, the son of the late Isaac Earl & Laura Margaret (Hinkle) 
Scothorn. He was the owner of Scothorn Flooring Covering, Scotty's Home 
Maintenance, retired from Dayton Press and a retired Police Officer with 
Miami Twp. Police Dept. Preceded in death by a great granddaughter Kelsey 
Sue, and 4 sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years Edna M. (Sayre) 
Scothorn, 4 sons Jim Scothorn and wife Linda of TN, Marvin Scothorn and wife 
Jackie of Dayton, Steve Scothorn of Brookville, Mike Scothorn and wife Wendy of 
Dayton, his daughter Patty Lucas and husband Joe of W. Carrollton, his brother 
Marvin Scothorn and wife Faye of IL, 3 sisters Charlotte Thompson of CA, 
Marcella Runner of Vandalia, Lenora Bruce of Dayton, 10 grandchildren, 10 great 
grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends. The family will 
receive friends on Thursday, November 16, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 
the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton. A private funeral service and burial 
will be held at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be 
made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. or Hospice of Dayton in his memory.
